Testing is a very important part of Wires & Cables manufacturing. We have a well equipped testing lab where we do all tests as per IS Standards. We test all the raw materials thoroughly before they go to production and after the production all finished products must be tested carefully to ensure the quality of product.
“FABTECH” Cables are being manufactured from quality raw materials, which are strictly Tested in our laboratory on following basis:
Aluminum / Copper wire – We test the aluminum and copper wire for their conductor resistance, wire diameter, tensile strength, elongation and Annealing test as per IS:8130:1984 in House & Purity test is done in outside NABL Laboratory.
PVC compound – These compounds are tested for density, tensile strength and elongation at break, volume resistivity and Insulation Resistance test.
During the entire period of processing, we check for appropriate mixture of chemicals, heating temperature and dimensions etc… to ensure proper tensile strength and Durability. We conduct process control tests at every stage of manufacturing in order to eliminate any sort of defects on the products.
• Conductor
We take care of the dimensions, surface, shape of conductor, Lay length, direction of lay, D.C. resistance and number of wires.
• Insulation
Stranded Copper is passed through Extruding Nozzle to cover PVC on copper wire to made final core and then passed through spark tester and then wound on drum.
• Laying
We check the sequence of cores, direction of laying up and lay, circularity of cable, diameter over laid up cores in this segment.
• Outer Sheath
When it comes to detection of outer sheath, we conduct test for thickness, concentricity, diameter over sheath, surface finish and embossing with other requisite information on outer sheath.
